Pros:
+Slim case+Reliable protection+Great tactile buttons
Cons:
-Slightly Expensive

Most people prefer a slim phone case with plain design, reliable protection, and affordable price. Spigen Liquid Air Armor Case is exactly the one that can satisfy most people’s needs. Without too much embellishment, it seems to be ordinary in a crowd. That doesn’t mean it is unattractive, on the contrary, the low-profile style precisely flaunts its original charm.

Benefit of flexible TPU

Spigen Liquid Air Armor Case is made of premium TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane, a flexible plastic). Its side edges are properly hard, making it easy to install without being loose, while the sides of some inferior silicone cases are so soft that will easily pull away from the phone. The geometric pattern on its back makes this case less likely to attract fingerprints than regular phone cases. More importantly, this design delivers great slipping resistance. With this case on, we never worry about our iPhone slipping out of our hands.

Its proper hardness on both sides making it easy to install without being loose on your phone, while some poor-quality silicone cases are too soft on both sides leading them pull away.

Solid built quality

The openings of the Lightning port, speaker, and microphone are properly sized, so the frame of your phone would not be exposed. Plus, the button coverage employs TPU material, but can still remain pleasant clicks. Meanwhile, the lip around the screen is raised enough to comply with Apple’s suggestion that can effectively protect the screen from damage.

The Best Power Banks

Power banks have become essentials of most people’s daily lives. When we use our phones intensively for a long time, the batteries can hardly survive a whole day, while power banks can easily help us solve this problem. We tested 73 products in order to find out some portable power banks with reasonable prices and great charging performance.

Our Pick: Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh

Our Pick

Xiaomi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh

For both regular devices and QC compatible devices

10000mAh capacity is enough to fully charge your phone around three times. Its suitable size allows it to be carried easily.
AED 54.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE)US$24.29 from Amazon US£22.00 from Amazon UK Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Both ports support QC3.0+One port with 2.4A fast charge+Supports QC3.0 input+10000mAh fully charges phones three times
Cons:
-A bit loose between USB port and cable-One port only output 2.1A for Apple devices

Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh is the best power bank for your daily use. Its dimension is 5.7*2.8*0.5in (147*71*14mm), it is slightly longer than other 10000mAh power banks on the market. Considering that it supports QC3.0 fast charging, we can accept a little sacrifice in size, and we have no trouble of carrying it in the bags every day. It supports both QC 3.0 fast-charging technology and Apple 2.4A fast charge to satisfy most people’s charging demands, and it can recharge itself via QC 3.0. In addition, it is only 52.99AED , and you will find it difficult to find another power bank whose QC 3.0 port is compatible with Apple 2.4A under this price point.

Xiaomi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh is similar in size to the iPhone 7 Plus, so it’s easy to put it into your bag.

QC3.0 port also can fast charge Apple devices

Xiaomi is a Chinese company that specializes in the research and development of mobile phones and electronic products. They produce high-quality products with reasonable prices to establish their own ecosystem and gain great reputations. Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh has two USB-A ports. In our tests, each port respectively outputted 2.35A and 2.12A charging speed for iPad mini 4, which meant that it could achieve 2.4A fast charge for Apple devices.

Xiaomi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh can deliver 2.35A to charge an iPad mini 4.

Care about the output? Worry-free...

In our tests of charging QC 3.0 Anker PowerCore II 20000, one port perfectly triggered the QC 3.0 fast-charging technology and reached 17.63W charging speed, exceeding the rated 14.4W charging speed.  The other port could not activate the QC 3.0 fast-charging technology every time. When not activating QC 3.0, it outputted at least 10W charging speed. We think it is not a serious problem since there is a port that can always activate QC 3.0.

Xiaomi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh can pump out 17.36W charging to the Anker PowerCore II 20000.

18W fast recharge

Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh can recharge itself via QC 3.0 fast-charging technology. In our tests, it recharged itself at more than 18W charging speed. This means that it takes only 4 hours to fully recharge itself, whose recharge time is nearly two hours less than that of regular power banks with 5V⎓2A input.

If you think that Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh is way bulky or its battery capacity cannot satisfy your demands for daily use, you can look though our full guide The Best Affordable Power Banks. We recommend you some power banks with extreme portability and large capacity as well as our pick for 2-In-1 Portable & Wall Chargers. And you can know more details about our picking process in this guide.

The Best USB-C/Type-C Power Banks

The Apple latest iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X have already supported USB Power Delivery (or PD, for short) which is a fast charge protocol and can largely shorten your phone’s charging time. If you want to experience the PD fastest charging speed, you just need a PD charger or a PD power bank. We tested and compared 53 products to pick out some PD power banks with high performance and reasonable prices.

Our Pick: Baseus 10000mAh USB-C PD + QC Slim Power Bank

Our Pick

Baseus 10000mAh USB-C PD + QC Slim Power Bank

For daily use

It is small enough to slip into your pocket. With the maximum output of 18W, it can deliver PD fast charge to most smartphones, tablets, MacBook Air (2018), and Nintendo Switches.
US$ 24.99 from DIGSHOPAED 69.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Portable size+18W PD fast charge & recharge+Supports QC3.0 and Apple 2.4A fast charging+Wallet-friendly
Cons:
-It offers only two output ports.
Smaller than most of 10000mAh power banks

If you want a pocket-sized PD power bank for easy carrying, then Basues 10000mAh USB-C PD + QC Slim Power Bank is the way to go. To our surprised, its size is almost the same as the ultrathin Anker PowerCore Slim 5,000. And it is the lightest one among all 10000mAh PD power banks we tested. Performance-wise, it can max out at 18W to deliver PD fast charge to your smartphones, tablets, or Nintendo Switch in handheld mode.

Meanwhile, with 10000mAh capacity, it is able to fully charge your phone two times or more, which means that you no longer worry about your phone running out of power even if you use your phone intensively throughout a single day.

Initially, we did doubt whether its actual power capacity would fall short of what it claims due to its small size. But through testing, it showed that all our concerns were unnecessary. Its actual power capacity is almost identical to that of Xiaomi 2i Power Bank which features a much larger size.

18W PD fast charging

Baseus supports three power levels: 5V⎓2A, 9V⎓2A, and 12V⎓1.5A. Therefore, it is able to deliver 18W PD fast charge to most devices on the market, including iPhone XS / XS Max / XR / X / 8 / 8 Plus, Samsung S10 / S10 Plus, Xiaomi MI 9, Google pixel 3 / 3 XL, iPad Pro, MacBook Air (2018) and Nintendo Switch in the handheld mode.

iPhone 8*: The PD charging speed of iPhone 8 can only max out at 12W output. It is because the battery capacity of iPhone 8 is much smaller than that of iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. In order to ensure the same charging time of these three iPhone models, Apple slow down the charging speed of iPhone 8 to protect its battery.

iPhone 8*: The PD charging speed of iPhone 8 can only max out at 12W output. It is because the battery capacity of iPhone 8 is much smaller than that of iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. In order to ensure the same charging time of these three iPhone models, Apple slow down the charging speed of iPhone 8 to protect its battery.

Its USB-C port is so versatile

To test the output power of its USB-C port, we used it to charge a MacBook Pro 15” (2016). The charging speed reached up to 12V⎓1.69A (20.28W), perfectly triggering PD fast charge.

Baseus 10000mAh Power Bank is charging the MacBook Pro 15” at up to 20.28W.

Then, we charged an iPad Mini 4 over its USB-C port which provided 2.37A current. This means that it can deliver 2.4A fast charge to most Apple devices. We also found that its USB-C supports QC 3.0 fast charge and can charge a Huawei Honor 9 at 15.86W (9.01V⎓1.76A).

You know what, that’s something not every power bank’s USB-C port can do.  Thus, this USB-C port is so versatile that it is compatible with most mainstream fast-charging protocols. It literally brings huge convenience to our real-life use. Right now, we just need to take one USB-C to Lightning cable out to charge different Apple devices. Likewise, Android users also just take one USB-C cable and can get everything done.

The USB-A port also supports multiple fast charge

In addition to the USB-C port, Baseus also has a USB-A ports, which supports QC3.0 fast charge and can quickly charge QC devices. During testing, we charged an Anker PowerCore II 20000 over this port. It activated QC 3.0 fast charge, and put out 16.77W. When charging an iPad Mini 4, it maxed out at 2.36A, which means that this QC port is compatible with Apple 2.4A fast charge. In other words, this USB-A port can fast charge most devices available on the market.

The USB-A port is charging the Anker PowerCore II 20000 power bank at 16.77W.

Dual-port fast recharge

Aside from its faster charging rate, we also appreciate its decent recharging speed. We used a 30W Anker PowerPort Speed PD 5 Ports to test the recharging speed of this Baseus 10000mAh power bank and obtained 17.74W. It showed that the USB-C port can enable fast input.

Besides the USB-C port, its Micro-USB port can also function as an input to recharge itself. We charged it using an Anker PowerCore II 20000, and the input power was 17.87W (9.01V⎓1.98A). This shows that this power bank can enable QC 3.0 fast charge to refill itself. So, you can connect an appropriate charging cable to one of these two ports to quickly top up this power bank.

Flaws but not dealbreakers

Compared with our previous pick, Baseus lacks a USB-A output port. We admit that we lean toward the power bank with three output ports. But after testing, we found that this kind of 18W power bank actually charged very slowly to three devices at once. So, we believe that having an extra output port is a bonus rather than a must-have criterion. Our previous pick is a good option, but we were not that satisfied with the plastic texture of its casing. We’ve been struggling to look for a better one at the same price range, and finally we come across this Baseus. It’s the only one that can offer excellent charging performance and solid-built casing at this price range.

As PD power banks offer faster charging speed, the juice would also consume quicker than regular power banks. If you think that 10000mAh capacity is still small, you can check out The Best Affordable USB-C PD Power Banks. In this full guide, we have other recommendations with larger capacities and you can know more details about how we picked and tested as well as some information about PD power banks.

The Best Multiport USB Wall Chargers & Desktop Chargers

The original chargers may fail to juice up the devices at their fastest charging speeds most of the time. And with the increasing devices we own, it is more difficult to find a vacant outlet to meet our charging demands. A good multiport charger can better deal with these problems. Thus, we tested and compared 20 products to pick out some portable and inexpensive options that can fast charge multiple devices at once.

1-2 Port Pick

Our Pick For 1-2 Port: ZMI Dual USB Fast Charge Wall Charger 18W

Our Pick

ZMI Dual USB Fast Charge Wall Charger 18W

A small and fast charger

Almost as compact as an iPad charger, it offers you faster charging at a low price, supporting QC3.0 and dual-port output.
US$ 11.99 from DIGSHOPAED 34.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Supports QC3.0 & Apple 2.4A+Dual ports 18W output+Compact size+Foldable prongs
Cons:
-Dual ports can't deliver full-speed charging at once

If you don’t use many devices in daily life, or you plan to take a short trip, ZMI PowerPlug V2 Dual USB Fast-Charge Wall Charger 18W (HA622) is the best choice for you, because it is able to quickly juice up your smartphone and power bank at the same time. Plus, it is compact enough for easy carrying.

Compact yet powerful

ZMI PowerPlug V2 is very small (almost as compact as the iPad’s original charger) with a stable and foldable plug. It is great for daily use. Its two ports both support Apple 2.4A fast charging and QC3.0 fast charging. They can intelligently identify the connected devices, able to deliver the appropriate amount of current.

almost as compact as the iPad’s original charger

Supports two fast-charging protocols

In our test, we used it to charge a QC3.0 power bank—Anker PowerCore II 2000. The charging speed reached up to 18.5W. This result surprises us very much, because there are many chargers that can provide the single QC port output of 18W on the market, but a few of them actually output over 18W power . When charging an iPad mini 4, this charger delivered 12.45W power. It is proved again that ZMI chargers feature reliable performance and can charge most Apple devices at the maximum speed.

Testing the single-port output

Devices Charging Speeds
Anker PowerPore ll 2000 9.2V⎓2A (18.5W)

In the full-load test, when simultaneously charging two QC3.0-compatible power banks—ROMOSS Sense6+ 20000mAh and Anker PowerCore II 20000, this ZMI charger delivered only 8.36W and 10.33W respectively, which were much slower than the single-port output. When we charged an iPad mini 4 and an iPhone 8 Plus via its two ports at the same time, one port pushed out 10W to the iPad and the other port pushed out only 8.96W to the iPhone. The charging speed still slower than the single-port output.

3-4 Port Pick

Our Pick For 3-4 Port: Aukey 4-Port Wall Charger 40W

Our Pick

Aukey 4-Port Wall Charger 40W

A portable 4-port fast charger

Four ports all support Apple 2.4A fast charge, able to deliver a total of 8A of current at full load. It can charge most electronic devices at a fast rate.
AED 59.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Supports Apple 2.4A+4 ports 40W output+Foldable prongs
Cons:
-4 ports can't deliver full-speed charging at once

We also use other electronic devices daily besides smartphones. If you want to charge your smartphone, tablet, Bluetooth headphones, and power bank at once, but cannot find enough outlets or chargers, Aukey 4-Port Wall Charger 40W (PA-U36) can handle such an annoying situation at ease. Its four ports are enough to rapidly charge four electronic devices we use every day simultaneously. And this charger is portable enough.

Ideal for family travel

Aukey has been devoted to researching, developing, and producing premium electronic devices for over ten years, and Aukey PA-T2 4-Port Wall Charger has obtained plenty of 5-star reviews on Amazon. Its four ports all support Apple 2.4A fast charging. It can speed up the charging for Apple devices to a large extent and even provide over 10W power for some devices which cannot draw 2.4A current.

Plus, it is small (74 x 53 x 26 mm) and lightweight (only 120.9g), and the foldable plug makes it easy to store and carry. Its four ports are enough for the whole family to power up their devices at once, so we think it a great charger for family travel.

Fast charge Apple devices and other regular devices

To test the single-port output of Aukey 4-Port Wall Charger 40W (PA-U36), we used it to charge an iPad mini 4, and the current reached up to 2.22A (11.27W power) which is very ideal considering the internal resistance and the energy conversion loss. This also reveals that it can charge most Apple devices at the highest speed. Besides, we charged a VIVO X20 with it, and the charging speed reached up to 9.62W. So, even when charging devices that don’t support Apple 2.4 fast charging, Aukey 4-Port Wall Charger can still deliver a great charging speed.

Testing the single-port output

Devices Charging Speeds
iPad mini 4 5.1V⎓2.3A (11.21W)
VIVO X20 5.1V⎓1.9A (9.62W)
The actual total output reached the rated 40W

To measure the total output power of the charger, we used it to simultaneously charge four devices (an iPad mini 4, an iPhone 8 Plus, an iPhone 7 Plus and an iPhone X). The total power reached up to 38.84W, very close to the rated power of 40W. Given that the power loss would occur during energy transfer, this Aukey model can be considered to reach its advertised total output power.

How does it compare with the popular Anker PowerPore 4?

Compared with similar chargers on the market—Xiaomi Four-Port Charger and Anker PowerCore 4, Aukey PA-T2 4-Port Charger absolutely prevails over them in both power and price, showing a high performance-price ratio. Although the power of Anker PowerCore 4 is quite approach to Aukey PA-T2 4-Port Charger, the former costs several times as much as the latter. After making a tradeoff between these two models, we had Aukey PA-T2 4-Port Charger as our pick in this category.

5-6 Port Pick

Our Pick For 5-6 Port: CRDC 5-Port Charging Station with QC3.0 55.5W

Our Pick

CRDC 5-Port Charging Station with QC3.0 55.5W

A multiport option, supports multiple fast-charging protocols

For people who need more ports and pursue faster charging, CRDC 5-Port Charging Station is a no-brainer.
AED 89.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Supports QC3.0 & Apple 2.4A+5 ports 55.5W output+Relatively small size
Cons:
-5 ports can't deliver full-speed charging at once

If you live in a large family who always scramble for chargers with your family members every night, or you need to charge a bunch of electronic devices, such as your phone, tablet, power bank, and camera almost every day, but there are not enough chargers and outlets available, then you must need a charger which packs more ports. Among all 5-6-port USB chargers we tested, CRDC PA-T15 5-Port Desktop Charger is favored by all members of our team.

No idle outlets available

For people who have multiple devices

CRDC PA-T15 5-Port Desktop Charger is of much practicability. This charger has four ports each of which delivers 2.4A current output and a QC3.0 port that is also compatible with Apple 2.4A fast charging. The total power can reach up to 55.5W, ensuring fast charging for each device at full load. With the size of 94 x 60 x 25mm and the weight of only 149g, it is the best pick for use at home or on the road. Instead of built-in prongs, it comes with an 80cm (31.5in) detachable power cord, so this charger won’t fall off from the wall outlet due to its weight. The included Velcro strip helps you to organize the cable and allows you to adjust the cable length, making it easy to charge your device even in a far distance from an outlet.

QC3.0 port also supports Apple 2.4A

Before testing, we never expected that this charger could perform so well. What’s rare is that its QC port also supports Apple 2.4A fast charge (many chargers we tested cannot make it). In our test, whichever ports we used to charge an iPad mini 4, its charging speed can reach or even exceed 12W. When we plugged ROMOSS Sense 6+ QC3.0 power bank into its QC port, this port pumped out 17.7W.

Testing the single-port output

To test the full-load output, we charged five devices (an iPhone X, an iPhone 7Plus, an iPad mini 4, an iPhone 8 Plus, and an Anker PowerCore ll 20000 power bank) over its ports and the total power reached up to 53.69W. The charging speed of each 2.4A port would slow down, but the QC3.0 port still provided the power bank with 17.8W power. Although the full-load power dropped a bit, considering the internal resistance and energy loss, we are very satisfied with this result.

A very thoughtful design

In addition, it is so thoughtful that the two USB ports are in the opposite directions while ports of most car charger are the same. At first, we did not deem this design is special but found it helpful when we actually used it. If you are driving and need to charge your device in an emergency, you know that there is always a port that allows you to plug into without reversing the interface of a cable.

ZMI car charger is always a port that allows you to plug into without reversing the interface of a cable.

Supports two fast-charging protocols

Once the devices are connected with the car charger, the charging will begin automatically. ZMI PowerCruise C2 36W Dual USB Car Charger with QC 3.0 can intelligently identify your devices to deliver the fastest possible charge. In our tests, when charging for Anker PowerCore II 20000, it delivered up to 18.37W massive power, which exceeded the 18W charging speed as it stated.

ZMI car charger is charging the Anker PowerCore II 20000 reaching to 18.36W.

Simultaneously refuel two devices at full speed

In addition, when charging two devices simultaneously, the two ports respectively outputted 17.3W and 17.07W charging speeds, which meant that it could charge two QC 3.0 devices at full speed simultaneously. Moreover, both the ports are compatible with Apple 2.4A fast charge. In our test, when charging for the iPad mini 4, each port reached 2.31A charging speed, which reached the fastest charging speed for most Apple devices.

ZMI car charger enables simultaneous fast charging for iPhone 7 Plus and iPad mini 4.

It will cost a lot even to get a single-port car charger that support QC 3.0 fast-charging technology. Both the ports of ZMI PowerCruise C2 36W Dual USB Car Charger with QC 3.0 can not only charge the QC 3.0 devices at full speed but also deliver full speed charge for Apple devices. With the price of AED 49.99, ZMI PowerCruise C2 36W Dual USB Car Charger with QC 3.0 is a no-brainer.

CROSSLINE 7.5W&10W Fast Wireless Charger Pad – Walnut Wood

AED XXX* from DIGSHOP *At the time of publishing, the price was AED XXX.
Pros:
+Rivals Mophie in charging rate+Walnut wood case+A QC3.0 adapter included+Beautiful black walnut design
Cons:
-Unnoticeable LED light

In our test, the CROSSLINE model charges faster than any other Qi chargers in the same price range we tested. It takes 3 hours and 40 minutes to fully charge a drained iPhone X. It belongs to the regular 7.5W category. Its charging rate can rival the Mophie Wireless Charger Base and Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad recommended by Apple, but for less than half price of them. In addition, the soft leather surface makes it super anti-skid. The pad surface area is larger than that of other ordinary chargers, so you don’t need to worry about your phone sliding around. When it comes to frame design, the CROSSLINE Wireless Charger Pad is a little bulkier than other regular products. It generously utilizes aluminum alloy case, which provides great heat dissipation and richly textured feel. If you don’t like aluminum alloy design, you can pay extra money for the beautiful black walnut version.

Left: aluminum alloy version, Right: black walnut version

The CROSSLINE’s maximum charging speed can up to 10W and it supports 7.5W charging for new iPhones. It is compatible with most of Qi-enabled devices in the market. More surprisingly, with its affordable price, it comes with a QC 3.0 adapter, so it saves you a good bit of buying one.

Although the charging speed is not a determining factor for wireless chargers, it is a concerning point for everyone. The CROSSLINE model is not the absolute fastest wireless charger in our tested products, but it is indeed above the medium level in the same class. You should know that the price of the fastest charger we picked—RAVPower RP-PC034—is nearly 2.5 times higher than the CROSSLINE. While the Mophie Wireless Charger Base is 5 times higher than it.

The CROSSLINE model provides a QC 3.0 charger (18-watt maximum) and a Micro-USB cable.

The CROSSLINE charger is built in square shape. Compared to those ordinary wireless chargers, it features a larger overall surface area and a thicker body. Its case employs aluminum alloy. The above features combined together make it have excellent heat dissipation ability. We deliberately noted the overheating issue while charging in daily use. The CROSSLINE model did perform great and stable.

The CROSSLINE model has excellent heat dissipation ability.

Its top surface is a soft and round-shape leather pad, making it the best one in the anti-skid test. And this feature offers you a friendly using experience without any concern about your phone sliding around. It has four non-slip silicone grips on the bottom to make sure that the pad itself can stay in place on the table. Generally speaking, the CROSSLINE is nice no matter in appearance or structure design. It also provides a black walnut version for selection.

It has four non-slip silicone grips on the bottom to make sure that the pad itself can stay in place on the table.

The CROSSLINE draws a maximum charging speed of 10 W for Android devices and 7.5W fast charging for iPhones, which can be compatible with most of Qi-enabled devices on the market.

Like most of Qi chargers, the CROSSLINE wireless charger can power up your handsets with various kinds of phone cases on. Apart from those metal cases and cases with magnets, this charger can handle cases varying in thickness and materials. When it comes to the common problem of wireless chargers (small inductive range), it also need to align your phone with the inductive point when charging.

As for safety, the CROSSLINE features overcharge protection, which means that it will begin to slow down its power when the battery is juiced over 80% and stop charging to protect the battery when the device is fully charged. It is also built with metal objects detected function to avoid danger caused by metals or metal objects. This wireless charger is safety and complied with the Qi standard, so you can use it without worry.

Surprisingly, the CROSSLINE model provides a QC 3.0 charger (18-watt maximum) and a Micro-USB cable while the products at this price generally do not come with an included adapter.

Stand Form for Convenient Viewing

Our Pick For Convenient Viewing: PLESON Qi 5W&10W Wireless Charger Stand

Our Pick

PLESON Qi 5W&10W Wireless Charger Stand

The Most Cost-Effective Charging Stand

The charging speed can be comparable with the Mophie that Apple recommended, and it is more affordable. The stand can securely hold your phone in place either in vertical or horizontal direction. Heat dissipation is highly efficient.
AED XXX* from DIGSHOP *At the time of publishing, the price was AED XXX.
Pros:
+Rivals Mophie in charging rate+Stand style+Dual coils+Adapter included
Cons:
-Slightly bulky-Need careful phone placement

If you often use your phone to look through articles and watch videos, the PLESON wireless charging stand is your optimal choice. In our test, the PLESON fully charged an iPhone X in about 3 hours and 34 minutes. It’s about 10 minutes faster than our CROSSLINE pick. It belongs to the high-performance 5W category. With a more affordable price and an included adapter, it is a cost-effective product. Its body is designed to be large for better standing ability. With square-built inner space, it can well prevent overheating. The round-shape stand surface can hold your phone in place securely. The PLESON employs two charging coils design that increases the inductive coverage, making it easy to get a good charging connection whether you place your phone in portrait orientation to read news or landscape orientation to watch video. It can max out at 10W output and can be compatible with most of Qi-enabled devices on the market. In addition, it comes bundled with a 10W adapter. A humanized design is the indicator light, which will automatically turn off after 3 seconds when charging successfully, giving you a good sleep without any distraction.

PLESON wireless charger stand can securely hold your phone in place either in vertical or horizontal direction.

As for charging speed, the PLESON delivers the maximum output of up to 10W, but it doesn’t support 7.5W charging on the new iPhones. It doesn’t matter. It can still fast juice an iPhone as its charging efficiency can be comparable with the Mophie WRLS-CHGPAD-AC and it can even charge faster than many 7.5W chargers. Although the PLESON model just maxes out at 5W output for an iPhone, it can keep stable and high-rated output when charging, while other alternatives cannot do this. Its great heat dissipation makes a contribution to its high charging speed. Compared to other wireless chargers, the PLESON model has a larger and bulkier frame that makes it better cool itself, so it definitely does not need mental case design.

PLESON (left) can keep stable and high-rated output while other products (right) cannot do this.

The PLESON SC500 is rather affordable. As we all know, wireless charging stands tend to be more expensive than pads. We didn’t expect that there would be such a cost-effective product on the market before we found the PLESON. But, indeed, it is extremely inexpensive.

As a wireless charging stand, it should have good support ability. The PLESON’s tilted supporting surface is a round shape with 115 mm in diameter, and has a 360° anti-slip rubberized ring on the top surface, making it able to securely hold your phone in place. The tilted-up surface is in accord with the ergonomic design at a 50° tilt angle, which offers you a comfortable viewing angle.

The tilted-up surface is in accord with the ergonomic design at a 50° tilt angle, which offers you a comfortable viewing angle.

On the bottom, it also has a 360° anti-slip rubberized ring to make sure that the stand itself can stay in place on the table. In our test, no matter how we place the phone, in vertical or horizontal direction, the PLESON can work well. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about your phone sliding off due to notification vibration. Furthermore, this charger employs two coils design that increases the inductive coverage, making it easy to get a good charging connection whether you place your phone in portrait or landscape orientation. With such a nice charger, you can just feel free to enjoy viewing your phone’s display while charging.

It also has a 360° anti-slip rubberized ring to make sure that the stand itself can stay in place on the table.

In addition, like the CROSSLINE, this PLESON also passes all the relevant tests, so you don’t need to worry about its compatibility, safety or the phone cases handling issues.

The Best Lightning Cables

As the original Apple Lightning cables employ thin TPE material, most Apple users reflect that these cables are easily frayed or broken in everyday use. To find out more durable Lightning cables, we took a close look at 21 products, comparing their materials in durability and flexibility and testing their charging speeds

Our pick for PVC

Our Pick For PVC: Anker Lightning to USB Cable 3ft

Our Pick

Anker Lightning to USB Cable 3ft

Our pick for PVC Lightning cables

A Lightning cable that is faster and sturdier than the original Apple Lightning cable, and costs only one third of the original one.
US$ 8.99 from DIGSHOPAED 30.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Soft+Durable+Inexpensive+MFi certified
Cons:
-Easily get dirt

People have to replace the original Apple cable with a new one because it is broken. Of course, I know that you would like a cable that is more durable and has faster charging speed. Also, it should performance better in every way than the original Apple Lightning cable, and it is less expensive. This Anker Lightning to USB Cable 3ft will meet your needs.

Better than the original Apple Lightning cable?

Judging from the appearance, it is pretty much the same as most PVC cables on the market. But in fact, there is a big difference. According to most people’s feedbacks, the strain relief of the Apple cable is very easy to break after long-term usage. This Anker Lightning to USB Cable 3ft looks almost the same as the original Apple Lightning cable but its PVC body is thicker, so it is more durable. It has flexible body and it is easy to fold and will not be loose, making it convenient to organize.

Cheap but with powerful performance

We used Anker Lightning to USB Cable 3ft to charge the iPad mini 4 and iPhone 7 Plus, respectively. We got 2.35 amps and 2.01 amps and both were at the maximum charging speed they supported. Plus, this Anker Lightning cable is just one third the price of the original Apple Lightning cable. We could say that it surpasses the original cable with a lower price.

Our Pick

OPSO Nylon Braided Lightning to USB Cable 3.3ft

Our pick for Nylon Lightning cables

A Nylon Lightning cable with the same most popular length, but more durable and bendable than PVC.
US$ 8.99 from DIGSHOPAED 29.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Durable+Inexpensive+Nylon material+MFi certified
Cons:
-Easy to pill after long-time use

If your PVC cable is frequently worn out or you hate it when it looks dirty, we recommend you use a nylon cable. Compared to PVC, nylon has greatly improved in tug performance and it doesn’t break easily as well as provides better dirt protection than PVC.

Nylon cables can also be flexible

This OPSO Nylon Braided Lightning to USB Cable 3.3ft is only 2.8mm in diameter and it is the most flexible model in all 3.3ft (0.9m) nylon cables. Although it is softer than other nylon cables, it is sturdy and tug resistant. It is also easy to be folded and will not be loose, so it won’t take up much space as normal nylon cables do. You can take it with you everywhere because it is light and portable.

Compare with Anker’s popular nylon Lightning cable

We used it to charge an iPad mini 4 and it showed 2.33 amps. Compared to Anker Nylon Lightning to USB Cable 3ft, they have pretty much the same charging speed but OPSO is only half the price of Anker’s.

You may wonder why we do not recommend Lightning cables in other length. As we know, a 3ft (0.9m) Lightning cable is way common and has highest demand. If you really need some longer cables or shorter cables, please turn to our full guide Protected: The The Best Affordable Lightning to USB-A Cables, in which some 0.5ft (0.15m), 0.8ft (0.25m), 6ft (1.8m) Lightning cables would be introduced. The Best Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones

The Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones has become more and more popular, as they generally feature a comfortable fit, good noise isolation as well as better sound quality than other types of headphones. To pick out the best over-ear headphones with affordable price, cozy fit and top-notch sound quality, we researched some available products at each price range on the market and tested 30 of them.

Our Pick: Bluedio T4S

Our Pick

Bluedio T4S

The Best for most people

It has well-balanced sounds, comfortable fit, and a reasonable price, meetsing the demands of most people.
US$ 44.99 from DIGSHOPAED 169.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Balanced sound quality+Comfortable wearing+ANC active noise cancellation
Cons:
-Turning on the active noise cancellation will affect the sound quality

We choose Bluedio T4S as the best set of wireless Bluetooth headphones for most people, because of its great sound, comfortable fit, easy-to-use control buttons, and moderate price.

You can control the buttons on the headphones to easily adjust the volume or switch tracks.

Bluedio, a brand with a high level of customer satisfaction, is very popular on the market. Its products sell very well on Amazon, AliExpress, and Taobao. Our tests have proven that its reputation is based on its reliable quality. Bluedio T4S can meet all our demands for over-ear Bluetooth headphones, while generally, you have to pay over 3 times as much as Bluedio T4S to find a perfect set of headphones.

Balanced sound

After using for a period of time, we found that Bluedio T4S can deliver well-balanced sound. The human voices in pop music and the bass drums of the band sound great. Although its bass doesn’t make my world shake, it still has surprising impacts on songs like Woodkid’s “Iron”. The electronic lows do not sound muddy and kick drums avoids blurring or thudding. These are not bass over-ear headphones, but more similar to studio headphones, reproducing the sound in a purer form. So, these headphones can give us impressive and resonant sound without any discomfort. I think that male voices from Bluedio T4S sound smooth and rich, while sopranos are crisp but not ear-piercing. In the whole, this pair of headphones performs pop music very well. Given that it costs less than 200 AED, other headphones for 250-plus should be ashamed of themselves.

Soft and snug ear cushions

As for comfort, Bluedio T4S has soft ear cushions and well-padded headband. The rotary ear cups accept any sized head shapes, making it easily adjust to a snug and cozy fit.

Bluedio T4S’s ear cups are very soft.

The convenient control buttons let you forget your phone

The aluminum alloy buttons are very easy to control. All buttons stay on the right ear cup, including Volume +/-, Power on/off, Play/Pause, and an ANC (Active Noise Canceling) button. These multi-function controls mean you can change volume or track without reaching for your device. Besides, Bluedio T4S has a built-in microphone. When using it to take phone calls, it can deliver crystal clear voice to the person at the other end.

Surprise! Such a low price offers ANC function.

As a nice bonus, its ANC function can cut off surround noise significantly. When in the noisy and loud decorating environment, I turned on the ANC function, and it did have the ambient noise fade away. Although Bluedio T4S is able to block out some of the hum from your commute, it won’t provide you with the absolutely quiet environment you might be expecting. ANC works better than the average noise isolation. Compared with Bose QC35, Bluedio T4S isn’t quite as quiet overall, but it offers ANC function at this price point, which makes us excited.

The ANC noise cancellation can effectively reduce road noise.

Days of battery life

When it comes to battery life, Bluedio T4S officially claims that it can offer 16 hours of talking/playback time and 27 days of standby time. In our test, its listening time can last 20 hours and then the battery finally run out and shut down.

Solid connection

In addition, Bluedio T4S’ Bluetooth connection is solid enough that allows me to listen to music at a distance of over 20 meters and to wander into rooms three walls away without disconnection. Of course, your result may be different (on account of the thickness and materials of your walls), but our test result indicated that these Bluetooth headphones covers wide wireless range that helps people get rid of the constraint of wired earphones, offering them more freedom.

If sound quality or limited budget is your main concern, you can check out our full guide The Best Affordable Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphonesin which we have other over-ear headphones with decent sound quality or inexpensive price.

The Best Wireless Earbuds (In-Ear Headphones)

This kind of earphones will come in handy during workouts. We tested 39 Bluetooth earbuds and found ones with great wearing comforts, affordable prices and remarkable sound qualities.

Our pick for Sport

Our Pick For Sport: REMAX RB-S10

Our pick

REMAX RB-S10

The Best Bluetooth earbuds

They sound fantastic and stay comfortable and secure. The shirt clip avoids the moving cable to distract you during the most intense workouts.
US$ 24.99 from DIGSHOPAED 99.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Stable and snug fit+Cable clip adds extra stability during intense workout+Meticulous and clear sound quality+6-hour battery life
Cons:
-A bit short Bluetooth range
Remain comfortable and secure in your ears

You will desire the Bluetooth earbuds to stay in place when you are doing sports. This is something REMAX RB-S10 does. They are so comfort that you can focus on the workout. To be honest, it is impossible to design a pair of ear tips that can perfectly fit everyone, but the ear tips offered by REMAX RB-S10 are among the best we could find to fit most people. It comes with different sizes of ear tips. Each colleague can find a suitable ear tips to fit.

In addition, these earphones come with a shirt clip, so you can easily clip them on your collar when you are jogging or doing workouts and you will not be affected by the moving and shaking cable. However, most earphones on the market ignore this kind of fix design. The weights cannot be balanced, so the earphones are prone to slip to the heavier side while doing workouts. Furthermore, its shirt clip is more stable and comfortable than regular clips.

REMAX still remains great stability even you’re doing intense workouts.

Wow, they sound amazing!

The overall quality of the sound is meticulous and clear, and REMAX RB-S10 ranks high to this regard. The mids sound lovely, and especially for instruments, which rely on acoustic resonance, such as guitar, these earphones can show great details of the mids. Nevertheless, these earbuds also deliver a vibrant bass, which does not obscure the other frequencies, making the songs with solid bass sound more charming. They also offer clear but not piercing highs, but the highs cannot impress us.

Consequently, REMAX RB-S10 sounds than previous our pick, which means that it sounds best among what we have tested, and it is definitely comparable to high-end earbuds. In addition, you can customize the sound as you like through three predefined equalizer models-Bass Boost, Balance and Treble- when you press the two volume buttons together.

Unique braided cable

The cable of REMAX RB-S10 is braided, which is different from the cables of general headphones. At first, we thought that this design is weird, but after long-term using, we discovered that it is more durable than the regular cable and it did not deform and rotate as easily as the cables of general headphones. We often met this problem when we wore Bose SoundSport Wireless Headphones. The cable would bend inward and easily scratch your face, and you would need to spend a long time to reset it.

Left: Meibu K5’s cable would not deform and rotate as easily as those of general headphones.
Right: Bose’s cable would bend inward and easily scratch your face, so you need to spend a long time to reset it.

What’s more

Up to 6 hours of battery life allows them to power you for almost a day from a single full charge. In addition, the IPX5 waterproofing rating lets it effectively resist daily abuse, sweat, and moisture. Please remember to close the charging port when using.

REMAX survived from our water-proof test.

To our surprise, these earbuds have the nicest packaging in all of our tested products. You never expect headphones at such a price can offer this great package, which reflects that the brand REMAX treats consumers sincerely.

Our pick for Everyday Use

Our Pick For Everyday Use: QCY L1

Our pick

QCY L1

Excellent sound and all-day comfort

They offer great sound and comfortable neckband to meet the daily-use demand. The neckband is also flexible enough to be organized easily.
AED 149.99 from DIGSHOP (UAE) Note: The price is based at the time of publishing.
Pros:
+Stable and snug fit+Soft silicone neckband+Impressive sound quality +Clear call quality
Cons:
-Only 6.5-hour of battery life

If you need to wear headphones in the office or at home, QCY L1  will be your best choice. As far as we considered, the neckband design suits daily using most, since this design allows you to take off the earbuds and hang them on the chest so that you can chat with others and then put them on to enjoy the music anytime.

Wearing QCY L1 in the office.

You’ll probably forget they’re in your ears.

When it comes to long-time wearing, comfort is everything. What QCY L1 does better than our previous pick is that, its neckband is made of soft silicone material. It fits snugly around your neck without feeling any pressure, letting you forget its existence.

Compared with headphones with short cables, QCY L1 is extremely suitable for daily use, since its neckband can fix the cable to avoid the cable gradually slip to the other side when you need to chat with others and just need to wear a single earbud. Even if you need to take off both the earbuds, you can easily hang them on your chest for a long time.

Neckband design allows you to take off the earphones anytime.

Especially when you wear a shirt and want to hide the cable under your collar, regular Bluetooth earbuds usually come with shorter cables than neckband ones and will easily fall out because of the collide of the cables when you move your head while the neckband ones will not.

Especially when you wear a shirt and want to hide the cable under your collar, regular Bluetooth earbuds usually come with shorter cables than neckband ones and will easily fall out.

Although we believe that non-neckband headphones are more suitable for strenuous workout, QCY L1 performed not bad when we did workouts. The neckband was lightweight and comfortable enough to let us forget its existence. In addition, they also come with soft, comfortable wingtips but not shark-fin tips. At first, we worried about whether they can offer enough stability. After testing, we found out they could stay on your ears securely without adding any pressure. If you do not need to wear them for intense workouts frequently, they can absolutely meet your daily-use demands.

Impressive sound quality

After testing, we found out QCY L1 sounded fantastic. It would fill my world with sparkling shimmers and glitters but still allowed me to immerse in the music. The sound clarity is our most satisfied part, as we don’t hear any harsh highs or muddy lows, basically. And for the highs, it also has clear and crystal sounds.

Of course, it does not perform that great on the overall sound quality, but in this price range, its sound quality is more excellent than other competitors. Considering that the price of QCY L1 is only one-tenth that of BeatsX, I think we already have enough.

A detail that’s easy to be ignored

When testing the durability, we find out that the design and the quality of the neckband are important, since we need to coil it up and put it in a pocketable pouch when not wearing them. To this regard, QCY L1 can be comparable to BeatsX, because its neckband is soft and comfortable enough while ensuring great durability.

However, many other earphones cannot balance the durability and the comfort. The joint parts of some earphones, like Coolpad K8, broke up when we did the bending tests. For QCY L1, we already used it for a month, and it still works well.

How does it compare with the popular Meizu EP52?

Meizu EP52 had always been considered the best among neckband earbud in this price range, as it could provide a softer neckband and the-same-excellent sound quality, until we found QCY L1. In the tests of call quality and noise reduction capacity, QCY L1 performed better than Meizu EP52. Considering that people use such headphones to make calls in everyday use, QCY L1’s advantages in call quality and noise canceling make it outweigh other competitors.

In addition, QCY L1 delivers at least 7.5 hours of playback. After testing, we found that the QCY L1 could deliver super-long battery life, even reaching up to 11 hours. We think QCY L1 is the best neckband earbuds we can find in such an aggressive price.

MEIZU EP52 (Left) and QCY L1 (Right)

The Best Bluetooth Mono Headphones

It is common for many drivers to answer phone calls while driving, but for your driving safety, you’d better not use one hand to hold the steering wheel while at the same time use the other hand to hold your phone. However, with a Bluetooth mono headphone, it would be convenient and safe for you to answer the phone while driving. We tested and compared 36 Bluetooth mono headphones to find out some products featuring decent stability, great wearing comfort, stable Bluetooth connection, clear and crisp call quality.

Cons:
